Your general opinion of this product. This mixer was the best bang for the buck in my opinion. However never having used one before there has been a bit of a learning curve to do what I intended to do, which is record electric guitar while playing an accompanying jam track.
I downloaded the Audacity software and attempted to get things set up. This took numerous attempts before getting anything to work.
The enclosed quick start guide for the mixer isn't all that great and the online assistance for Audacity is useless because the newest version of the program does not have all the menu options that were previously used, so the help provided does not match the program operation. As far as the mixer operation, I finally got everything working with the exception of being able to monitor the incoming guitar signal while recording from the jam track. The jam track comes through the headphones while recording but the guitar does not. I contacted Behringer about this and have not received a reply. Seems wrong to me.
Seems to be made pretty well, but my headphones don't carry the incoming guitar signal while recording from a jam track. The mixer is fairly straight forward, but the instructions are not that great. I'm still learning how to use it.
I have no idea what I would consider the best feature, perhaps USB capability if you can get it to work as desired. I would want the headphones to carry the full main mix signal while recording. Mine does not do this. I have not completed a full recording yet, so I can't comment on it. Sounds fine on monitor speakers, but I don't really notice much change when tweeking the EQ settings. I have only had it a week.
