The Chnl EQ & comp is just fine. About the only complaint I have is that I'm used to broadcast boards, and would like CR out, and switchable headphones, which it lacks. The X 1204 has that, though, without the 7 band EQ on the output. All in all, a super unit for theater work, or recording which doesn't require flexible output monitoring.

I searched for awhile to find small board with the most features for the cost and this Behringer board was the best. I am happy with the features, ease of use, and build quality so far. The effects have some hiss/noise with first use, so I need to see if that is a problem with the board, or user error. Otherwise, the sound is clean, the phantom power on/off switch is a nice feature and the mixing capabilities are good for a board of this size and price.
